Dee Honeycutt
serves as
the Office Minister for the University Church. She and her husband,
Rodney, moved to Pepperdine in August 2006 from College Station, TX,
where both were employed by Texas A&M University and worshiped at A&M
Church of Christ. Dee grew up as an Army “brat,”
and she met Rodney at The University of Texas at Austin. They married
the summer of Rodney’s graduation from UT, and Rodney left for Army
basic training in October. While Rodney served in the Army, Dee
completed her degree in Sociology. They then embarked on an 11 year
journey for Rodney to obtain his professional degrees and first job in
academics at Harvard University, living in six places including
Australia. During this time, Dee worked in an academic library, a state
library, worked in retail sales, and did bookkeeping. They have two
